Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Construction Estimator to join our team. The Construction Estimator will be responsible for analyzing construction blueprints, specifications, proposals, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, and labor estimates for projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction management and project estimation.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze project documents to prepare accurate estimates for labor, materials, and equipment
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and contractors to understand project requirements
- Utilize software such as Buildertrend and RSMeans to create detailed estimates
- Evaluate bids from subcontractors and suppliers to ensure competitive pricing
- Develop cost control strategies to monitor project expenses
- Negotiate contracts with vendors and subcontractors
Experience:
- Proven experience in construction estimating
- Proficiency in construction management principles
- Strong knowledge of project management processes
- Ability to interpret construction contracts and documents
- Experience using estimating software such as Bluebeam and HeavyBid
- Excellent analytical and mathematical skills
- Strong communication and negotiation abilities
